Firm Founded by Music Vet Jim Chambers
September 6, 2022 (Nashville, TN) – SMALL BALL MANAGEMENT is a newly formed Artist management and consulting firm based in Nashville, TN. The boutique style agency is headed by Jim Chambers and will specialize in bringing Rock, Alternative, Americana, the Weird and the Wonderful into the foreground.

Jim Chambers brings his decades of experience from all facets of the industry - from marketing to sales to global sales to general management - as well as his 3 Grammy Award wins. Starting in the mailroom of Sky Records and working his way up to the boardroom of Sony/BMG’s New York City headquarters, Chambers thrived during his rise in the music industry. Along the way he has lent his talents to several other global entertainment companies such as Warcon Records, VH 1, Octone ( for several years working directly with the labels first signing Maroon 5,) Hybrid /Sire Records, Redeye Distribution among other ventures.
Chambers has been honored with several Grammy® Awards while working with diverse artists such as Dave Matthews, TOOL, Matthew Sweet, Outkast, Fishbone, TLC, Usher, Art Garfunkel, Loudon Wainwright III , Maroon 5 among others.
Following his label run, Chambers headed south and for the next decade focused on guiding and mentoring future generations of players and performers in Tampa, FL. Infamously proclaimed "the world's finest music academy" when it was launched in 2012, THE BOX was a full service music conservatory offering instruction on all instruments including voice, as well as a focus on band formation and live performance. Chambers said, "Early on I realized that the educational component of teaching music provided the same exhilaration and spirit as breaking a new musical artist. Teaching also reminded me that I am here to do one thing – to create, nurture, and develop music. So I built the finest music academy on the planet.” Over the years BOX artists have been featured on major networks and performed at NFL & NHL Events as well as at venues throughout the Bay Area. Chambers' most recent band, BOYCOTT - an all female outfit composed of middle schoolers – performed earlier this year at Tampa Bay’s legendary Gasparilla Music Festival.
Earlier this summer Chambers sold THE BOX to ROCK OUT LOUD saying “This is the hardest decision I have made in my lifetime. I have never had a more gratifying, difficult, exhilarating job. I have a very heavy heart about leaving my students and Tampa Bay. But—It’s time for me to fly.” And with that and several farewell concerts Chambers bounced to Nashville to expand on his experience supporting artists out of his new base in Nashville.
